Meet Grant

Hi I’m Grant and I founded Groves Health in 2021 to help guys take their health into their own hands and live happier, more fulfilling lives.

My Health Journey

Began when I was 25 years old; I was working in software sales at the time. My days consisted of commuting, sitting in front of a computer, ordering takeout, and occasionally dragging myself to the gym. I lived for the weekends which was my time to stay up late, drink, and eat plenty of junk food.

Despite consistent workouts, I began to look less lean, felt tired, couldn’t think clearly and had more random aches/pains than ever. I chalked this up typical aging and started to feel pretty hopeless about it.

I first learned about the impact that food and insulin had on our bodies from Dr. Dom D’Agostino while listening to the Tim Ferriss Podcast. One thing led to another and I eventually stumbled upon Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint. Mark’s book and philosophy was truly eye-opening. The way he viewed diet and lifestyle through the lens of evolution actually made sense to me compared to the latest trendy diets out there. Before I knew it, I was reading and listening to everything I could get my hands on regarding how to optimize the human body for a better quality of life. Other thought-leaders of the primal health movement such as Art De Vany, Robb Wolf, Chris Kresser, and Paul Saladino all contributed to my understanding and application of these principles as well.

Over the past eight years and after numerous self-experiments (fasting, supplements, diets, workouts, etc.), I’ve had a dramatic change in health and feel like a completely different person. Now in my 30’s, I’m stronger, faster, and leaner than I ever was in my 20’s. I’m more active, and I’m thinking clearer- it’s like a fog has been lifted. This shift has literally changed my life and my goal is to help others reach their full potential as well.

More About Grant

I grew up in northern Virginia and graduated from James Madison University. I’ve spent most of my professional career in software sales while nurturing and growing my passion for health and wellness. Over the years, I’ve read, listened, and self-experimented with everything primal.

Over time I’ve used my knowledge and experience to help family and friends lose weight, get stronger/leaner, and simply feel better. I realized how much I enjoyed the process and wanted to help as many people as I could take back their health. That was when the idea of Groves Health was born.

More about me- I love taking walks, bowhunting, hiking, paddle boarding, playing spikeball, volleyball, traveling, spending time in nature, and meeting new people. I’m married and I have two young kids who keep me busy day and night.
